Overview
========
These documents contain SWAP data summaries of the solar wind
encountered by the New Horizons (NH) spacecraft for the

SWAP PLUTO CRUISE

mission phase.

The data are summarized as plots covering both 1-day and 10-day
and other increments in time.  The plots compose images, and the
images are provided in PNG format.

Some of the summary plots do not contain any data, or such a limited
amount that it is hard to see. The main purpose of the summary plots
is to get a quick look at the data available, so it is normal when
some of these plots appear to be blank.

Document Contents
=================
REQUIRED READING:  New Horizons SOC to Instrument Pipeline ICD
(Interface Control Document), included with
this data set.

Each document contains a graphic comprising text plus five plots.  The
text describes the coverage of the data.  The five plots are as follows:

1) Coincidence (COIN) spectrogram of the rates in counts/sample

2) The total coincidence rates in a coarse scan

3) A color-coded indication of operating parameter settings

4 and 5) The Sun theta and phi angles in spacecraft coordinates

6) Either the Jupiter-to-Spacecraft distance in Rj, or the
Sun-Spacecraft-Earth angle, as labeled.

See the SWAP section of the New Horizons SOC to Instrument Pipeline
ICD (Interface Control Document) for a more detailed explanation of
these plots.  The ICD is included in the document section of the
original version of this data set.

There is no relevant text apart from the annotation of the plots,
so ASCII versions of these documents are not provided.

Document naming convention
======================
The name of each document indicates its time coverage, its format;
the names are in this form:

SWAP_001DAY_2007010623.PNG

and, more generally,

SWAP_nnnDAY_yyyymmddhh.PNG

where

nnn is the approximate number of days covered by the data (001 to 365)

yyyy is the year of the start of each documents's data (2007)

mm is the month of the start of the data (01=January, &c)

dd is the day of the month of the start of the data (01 to 31)

hh is the hour of the day of the start of the data (00 to 23)
