Introduction

This bundle contains the Voyager 2 Plasma Wave Spectrometer spectrum analyzer
data from the entire mission, submitted to the Planetary Data System (PDS).

Quick Start Summary
========================================================================
Calibrated Voyager PWS spectrum analyzer data from the entire mission,
and will be updated as new data become available. This release includes all
available spectrum analyzer files for spacecraft event time (SCET) dates
1977-08-20 through 2022-06-01. Calibrated electric fields in CDF format are
provided at full resolution.
KEY THINGS TO KNOW IN USING DATA ON THIS DISK:
Data is stored in CDF-A format, which is a binary format read by many
different analysis and visualization software packages. Further, CDF-A
can be treated as a binary format with data in contiguous blocks that can
be easily read into any language.
The data directory contains PDS lowrate data in daily CDF-A files, sorted
by year. The data within each file has been calibrated and can be used
without any further work.
In the document folder, FULL2_DS.CAT and VG2PWSCL.TAB
are taken from the PDS3 volumes as they are still a helpful reference.
The folder "vap" contains a configuration file for the software "Autoplot"
(autoplot.org) which will display data as it is typically used in the Radio
and Plasma Wave Group at the University of Iowa. This vap file can be
downloaded and its location pasted into the address bar of Autoplot, and
the Voyager data will be displayed using the "stacked histogram" mode rather
than a spectrogram.

Any changes or errors that are found after the production of this volume
can be found on the PPI Node errata Web page.
If you find an error on this disk, please report the error to the PDS
Operator at the PPI Node of the PDS.
