Overview
--------
The maven.sep.calibrated Level 2 Science Data Bundle contains fully calibrated
SEP data, as well as the raw count data from which they are derived, and
ancillary ephemeris data. The calibrated data are in physical units, and
include electron and ion spectra in the 4 look directions (2 look directions
for each sensor/file).

1.6 2017-05-14 MAVEN Release 9 (2017-05-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data.
Coverage for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to
2017-02-14.
1.7 2017-08-09 This version included corrections to a 1 second timing error
in the data following the leap second at 2016-12-31T23:59:60
UTC. Coverage is the same as for version 1.6.
1.8 2017-08-09 MAVEN Release 10 (2017-08-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data.
Coverage for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to
2017-05-14.
1.9 2017-11-14 MAVEN Release 11 (2017-11-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, covering
2017-05-15 to 2017-08-14, and updated versions of the
data covering 2014-10-01 to 2016-12-31. Coverage for all
three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2017-08-14.
1.10 2018-02-14 MAVEN Release 12 (2018-02-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2017-08-15 to 2017-11-14. Coverage
for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2017-11-14.
1.11 2018-05-02 MAVEN Release 13 (2018-05-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including

This release also includes new versions of all of the
PDS4 XML data label files, which have been corrected for
issues found in the peer review. Previously released
data files are unchanged.
1.15 2019-05-03 MAVEN Release 17 (2019-05-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2018-11-15 to 2019-02-14. Coverage
for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2019-02-14.
1.16 2019-08-15 MAVEN Release 18 (2019-08-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2019-02-15 to 2019-05-14. Coverage
for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2019-05-14.
1.17 2019-11-13 MAVEN Release 19 (2019-11-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2019-05-15 to 2019-08-14. Coverage
for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2019-08-14.
2.0 2020-02-14 MAVEN Release 20 (2020-02-14). The verions includes a full
release of raw and calibrated data from 2014-09-22 to
2019-08-14, and the initial release of data covering
2019-08-15 to 2019-11-14. The data were reprocessed applying
multiple minor updates.
2.1 2020-05-14 MAVEN Release 21 (2020-05-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2019-11-15 to 2020-02-14. Coverage
for all three collections is 2014-09-22 to 2020-02-14.
2.2 2020-08-14 MAVEN Release 22 (2020-08-15). Includes an incremental
release of ancillary, raw, and calibrated data, including
the initial release of 2020-02-15 to 2020-05-14. Coverage

❮xx❯ = 2-digit software version
❮yy❯ = 2-digit data file version under the specified software version

describes the format and content of the Solar Energetic Particle Instrument
(SEP) Planetary Data System (PDS) data archive. It includes descriptions of
the data products and associated metadata, and the archive format, content,
and generation pipeline.

This archive was produced for the Planetary Data System (PDS) at the Planetary
Plasma Interactions (PPI) node at the University of California, Los Angeles
(UCLA). The raw and calibrated data files were generated by Dr. Davin Larson at
the Space Sciences Laboratory (SSL) at the University of California (Berkeley).
The ancillary data files were generated by Dr. Robert Lillis also at SSL. The
data were delivered to the PPI node via the MAVEN Science Data Center (SDC)
located at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) in Boulder,
Colorado. The PDS metadata were generated at the PPI node.
