description
This product, 3D990401.TAB, was originally released as part of the PDS3 LP-L-ER-3-RDR-3DELEFLUX-80SEC-V1.1 data set. The metadata have been migrated to PDS4. The data themselves are unchanged, with the exception to the error described below. Some TAB files, in this collection, have been altered to account for erroneous data values found in the 88 electron flux and phi values. The original, respective flagged values delivered by the instrument team are denoted as: missing_constant = 9.999E-99 missing_constant = 999.99 The erroneous values have been flagged by the PPI node denoted as: error_constant = -9.99E-99 invalid_constant = 998.99

A record in the table consists of the following elements: a time tag in PDS format, pertaining to a single record; a time tag in seconds since epoch 1970, pertaining to an entire spectrum made up of 15 records; the energy bin for the record; the spectrum number for the spectrum (starting with 1 at the beginning of the file); 3 magnetic field components; and then a structure of 88 flux values and 88 phi values.

This column contains spacecraft event time (SCET), in PDS format, for the record. This was calculated by incrementing the SCET for the whole 15-record spectrum (column 2) with a time increment calculated from the approximate spin rate of the spacecraft.

description
This column contains spacecraft event time (SCET) of the center of the 5 second averaging window for the first record in a spectrum. Averages are non-overlapping. The time format is given in seconds after 00:00:00 UT on Jan 1, 1970. Leap seconds are not accounted for in this time format. Each day is assumed to have 86400.0 seconds and years have either 365 or 366 days. This time column is native to the data; column 1 was calculated from it.
