  Non-Standard Practices
The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum
file for a volume.  We have placed it in the root dietary of the volume
with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT".  This may be considered invalid by some
verifiers.

Version 1.1 Voyager Data Sets

Some of the Voyager data sets were previously archived with
the PDS and NSSDC as version 1.0. Changes to the version 1.1 data sets
generally include minor changes to the style of the time column and flag
values, and upgrading of labels and catalog templates to PDS version 3.
These version 1.1 data sets supersede any previously archived data sets.

ASCII data file record formats

ASCII data tables contained in this volume are fixed width and space
delimited. The PDS Standards recommend using fixed width comma delimited
fields in ASCII tables. In general this recommendation was not followed in
order to provide data in the same format in which they were originally
provided to PDS.

Copies of previously published documents found on the /DOCUMENT/ sub-
directories contain some known misspellings. These either result from
misspellings that follow the original documents or else errors introduced in
the conversion of these documents to ASCII and HTML format.

/CATALOG/VG_*_PERSON.CAT

In the CATALOG/VG_*_PERSON.CAT file the PERSONNEL_INFORMATION object contains
the element NOTE which is neither required nor optional, but does provide the
user with valuable information.

/DATA/HOUR1/T94.TAB

The hourly average file DATA/HOUR1/T94.TAB erroneously contained
Voyager 2 data instead of Voyager 1 data.  This error occurred
in the original version of the file which was created on
2001-03-28.  A new version of HOUR1/T94.TAB, was created on
2015-01-13 which corrects the problem.  The new version is
indicated by the element PRODUCT_VERSION_ID = 2 in the associated
label.

Note: 2016-11-22 - The files in the DATA/HOUR1 directory were redelivered in
November, 2016 by Chris Piker. Newer versions replaced some of the previous
versions. Some version 1 and/or 2 data files were superseded. Piker reported
that the reason for the changes in some files is that the team is now using
spike removal thresholds that match the legacy Fortran code, previously that
wasn't the case.

Note: 2019-01-16 - The files in the DATA/HOUR1 directory were redelivered in
January, 2019 by Chris Piker. Newer versions replaced some of the previous
versions. Some version 2 and/or 3 data files were superseded.

Note: 2021-03-15 - The files in the DATA/HOUR1 directory were redelivered in
March, 2021 by Chris Piker. New data was added and newer versions replaced
some of the previous versions. Some version 2 data files were superseded.
