PDS_VERSION_ID        = PDS3                                                   RECORD_TYPE           = STREAM                                                 OBJECT                = TEXT                                                     PUBLICATION_DATE      = 2009-04-21                                             NOTE                  = "                                                    This file describes the contents of the INDEX directory."                      END_OBJECT            = TEXT                                                   END                                                                                  The INDEX directory contains an index for this volume (INDEX.TAB)        and a PDS label for the index (INDEX.LBL).                                                                                                                          The INDEX.TAB file is an ASCII file.  Each line (or record) in           INDEX.TAB contains information about a data file in this PDS archive           volume.  For data files with attached PDS labels, the data file itself         is listed in INDEX.TAB.  For data files with detached PDS labels               (*.LBL), the detached PDS label is listed.  The last two bytes of each         record are an ASCII carriage-return line-feed pair which delimits the          line.                                                                                                                                                               Each line in the INDEX.TAB file is made up of comma-delimited            fixed-length fields.  Some of the values in these fields are enclosed          by double quotes.                                                                                                                                                   The INDEX.LBL label file describes the format and content of the         INDEX.TAB file at the byte level.
